Compensations and Benefits
Manage, advise and control Employee Benefits (Medical Aid, Provident Fund, UIF, Travel, Bursaries and Stock Options
Leave and Absenteeism Administration and management – Implement new Leave system
Participate in the Deloitte Salary Survey’s – Compiling and interpretation of data collections
Manage Company Medical Aid and Provident Fund
Industry Benchmarking on employee benefits
Compensation: Management – Developing of new salary scales according to Global requirements.
Job mapping for South Africa subsidiary – new grading of positions.
Implementation of a Compensation and Career Framework for the South Africa
Market Analysis with regards to positions and compensation relative to the Market
Manage the Total Compensation process for South Africa Incentives, increases and Performance bonuses
Train, advise and support Line Managers with regards to new Compensation policies and processes
Recruitment
Recruitment and Selection Targeted Selection approach
Re-engineering of Recruitment and Training and Development function.
HR Information Systems
Management and maintenance of HR Systems (SAP and PeopleSoft)
Alignment of Job data (South Africa) with Global functions
Establishment of the HR intranet site
Support the Business as the SAP Core User in South Africa.
Support CEEMEA Region with HRIS related problems.
Train employees and Managers on Employee Self Service and Manager Direct Access modules
HR Policies and Procedures
Manage, control and update Policies and Procedures to be aligned with the BCEA and SDA
Development and implementation of HR Business processes
Align HR Processes with the HR Systems
Establishing of local country level processes through a Shared Business Service Solution situated in Brussels.
Employee Assistance Program
Manage the EAP programme through ICAS.
Analysing of Exit trends and employee behavioral problems
Performance Management
Assist with compiling of the HR Review Succession Planning
Assistance to Manager with regards to online Performance Management System
Assistance to Managers with regards to individual ratings relative performance indicators
Consult with Line Managers with regards to Objective settings and Performance Feedback.
Facilitate Performance Management training session for First Line Managers
Talent Management
Assist Line Managers to set up Talent Management profiles and succession plans for their Departments
Co-ordinate Development plans of High Potential candidates
Ensure Retention strategies are in place for HP Candidates
General
Compiling of Contracts (Employment Contracts, Promotions, Maternity etc.)
Deliver HR Support to Divisions reporting into 4 different Regions
Compiling of the annual EE Report
Headcount and Turnover reports
Exit interviews – outsourced to ICAS
Management of on-site Canteen Services Service Level Agreement through SODEXO
Stock Options Administration
Management of Company Bursary Scheme
Health and Safety Reporting (Globally)
Training of all Line Manager in HRIS system solutions and Performance management
Assist IR Manager with compiling of charge sheets.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Commerce qualification with accounting/statistics as subjects
7+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner/Generalist role, preferably within a matrix multinational organisation
Extensive experience in Compensation practices as well as HR operations and systems
Generalist HR experience including policy writing, solid exposure in /to Industrial Relations / Labour Relation including mitigating and resolving Labour disputes Proven ability to diagnose problems using strategic thinking skills as well as identify and drive appropriate solutions
Strong Project/Program Management Skills
Ability to relate to, influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization Effective communication skills – written, verbal and listening skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work well across different functions and locations
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment whilst being able to navigate and guide leaders through a variety of organizational changes
