Internship Programme at Sappi

Sappi requires suitably qualified graduates to be trained and exposed to various departments over a 12 month fixed term contract. These positions will be based in Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg, Nelspruit, Stanger and Umkomaas.

Available Opportunities

Sales & Marketing Intern

Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of approved marketing programmes
Basic knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research concepts
Management of social media channels for brief programmes to agencies within corporate guidelines
Assist with basic marketing services.

Communications Intern

Assist with the preparation of presentations and articles/reports
Provide functional and administrative support for the execution of relevant projects and plans
Set up event branding as per branding plan

Procurement Intern

Assist with processing supplier invoices, payment and creating vendors
Prepares purchase orders and keeps track of purchase related tasks
Assist with managing, monitoring and tracking suppliers.

IT Intern

Assist with general HR related administration
Investigate, analyse and provide solutions to technical problems
Assist in the implementation of all network equipment and upgrades
Provide service and maintenance of all computers at the business unit
Assist and attend to all IT Service desk queries.

Strategy Internship

Assist in development of business plans and strategy communication materials for presentation targets
Assist with tracking strategy implementation within business units and functions
Assist with internal consulting to all functional areas and support new business opportunities.

Human Resources Internships

Assist with general HR related administration
Assist with filling and update of documents/files
Coordinating of training events/ HR functions

Internal Audit Internship

Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentations together with financial reports, data and flowcharts
Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
Assist with handling large amounts of data and compile detailed reports

Risk Management Internship

Participate in risk control and risk prevention development activities
Knowledge of essential insurance and risk management terms and concepts
Assist with gathering commercial insurance renewal exposure data and analysing data
Knowledgeable of workplace safety and work occupational health.

Finance Internship

Assist with various administrative task and Adhoc activities
Participate in day to day contract administration activities
Ensure correct documentations is complete for capture by the department
Assist with compiling monthly budgets, approvals and actual spent.

Requirements

Grade 12/Matric qualification
Relevant Finance/Economics/Accounting/Internal Audit/Risk & Insurance Management/Human Resources/Logistics/Procurement/Supply Chain/Sales and Marketing/ Branding/Public Relations/ Communications/Media/MCSE/ IT qualification or equivalent
No experience required
Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
